Children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities are 3 to 5 times more likely to have behavioural problems and other mental disorders than neurotypical children. Unfortunately, children with neurodevelopmental disabilities are also less likely to be diagnosed and treated for these mental health problems.
If you know a child with a neurodisability you probably already know that families are seeking accessible, evidence-based support for challenging behaviours. Maybe someone has even asked you for help.
Our team of parents, clinicians, and researchers have been developing the Strongest Families Neurodevelopmental program to provide parents with practical and evidence-based support. Soon we will need your help to connect with families across Canada to test the effectiveness of the program in a research study.
